Day 20: Louisiana to Texas

Oh the joy of waking up and being able to take a shower what a blessing. We ate breakfast at the hotel and I was happy that they had some low sugar options. After breakfast we headed towards Dallas Texas. We stopped at a rest stop in texas and instantly experienced southern hospitality! We had the privilege of staying with my friend Nate from church back home. He was in the army and stationed at Fort Lewis for awhile but then moved back to his home town and got married to his wonderful wife Kelly. We met up with Nate for lunch and then he gave us the keys to his apartment so we could relax and swim in the pool while he went back to work. Joshua and I were the only ones at the pool and that was awesome. After we got back from swimming Kelly was home and cooking us dinner. We got to hang out with her for awhile and here her story while we waited for Nate to get home. It was so hot in Texas we decided to stay in and play games. It was awesome Joshua and I had not played games yet on our trip and we had a blast. Kelly and Nate are wonderful people and a joy to be around. We were able to stay over with them and we were thrilled to be able to stay in a home for the first time in 20 Days!
