Week 20: Playtime with Daddy

This week was a relativity uneventful week for the Meeks household. Joshua was very busy with work and school (as usual) so Judah and I cherished his time at home. He worked 12 hours on Saturday but lucky for us he did not start his shift until noon so we got in a family walk.
Getting ready for the walk. The shoes are just soo cute!

And on Sunday we got to spend the whole day together. Of course Joshua had to do his homework and I had to plan guidance lessons for work but we were pleased to do it together. We took time to play with Judah and he got to try a new food, Avacado.

While this past week was uneventful for us it was VERY eventful for the Fores. On Monday I had the day off so I watched Mia. Unfortunately she was very sick that day and could not keep anything down. She had to go to Children's hospital that night and stayed for the next two days trying to get rehydrated and over the flu. Just when they were getting released on Wednesday Kaaryn caught the flu from Mia. But now they are all recovering and doing well!

Week 19 Happy Valentines Day

On Valentines day Joshua had work and school so I did not even get to see him until 11pm However this little cutie showed me plenty of love.

And Joshua spoiled me with roses and gifts left as a surprise when I got home from work. We usually dont give gifts and instead go on a weekend get away. However this year we had to postpone it because of his work.

On Friday I had the day off of work and it was the grand opening of the bridge Joshua has been working on. So the three of us went down and listened to the governor and mayor speak. It was neat to have Joshua point out different things he built on the bridge and see his work enjoyed by others.
On Saturday Joshua stayed home with Judah so I could go shopping for some new clothes. I still had gift cards from my birthday in August and from Christmas because I have just been too busy. My boys decided to take a nap on the couch while I was out.
Krista, Michael, and Tristan arrived on Saturday so Kaaryn, Mia, Judah and I went up for lunch to welcome them here! We got to see their new house and visit.

Week 18: 4 Months

My sweet little baby is four months old!

On Monday Joshua got the day off because of the bridge he worked on opening. So he stayed home with Judah and visited his school Northwest. Judah got a tour of the campus.

This week Judah and mommy have been fighting bad colds and have spent a lot of time sleeping and snuggling.

My parents were out of town this past week for Tristan's birthday party. So Kaaryn was kind enough to watch Judah for me. That meant he was extra spoiled going on walks and playing with his cousin Mia!

Week 17: Superbowl

Judah finally started holding his head up while on his tummy this week! I was so proud of him. One night he turned like he was going to roll over and I panicked because Joshua was at work and I did not want him to miss it. But it was a false alarm!
This week Joshua continued to work a lot and got switched to night shift. We basically saw each other about an hour each morning when he got home and before I left. So Judah and I were on our own each night. Because of this Joshua delivered me flowers at work! I also got to have dinner with my friends Katie and Jen one night to keep me company. The bridge Joshua has been working on opened on friday. He worked 16 hours that night and then stayed an extra three just to watch it open. That is dedication!

On Saturday Judah made his first of many shopping trips to Lowes. Joshua's present for working so much overtime is getting to replace our super stained living room carpet. He is thrilled.

On Sunday we went to church and then to our baby dedication class. Judah and Mia will be dedicated at church on May 11th! Cant wait. After church we went to the Tyrees house to have a Superbowl party with our small group. Joshua and Matt swapped children for awhile! Judah was totally into the lights during the Beyonce halftime show.

It was another blessed week and just a joy to watch our little guy continue to grow.
